Reiner Braun

Reiner Braun |Professor for Strategic Entrepreneurship

Reiner Braun holds a Chair in Entrepreneurial Finance at the Technische Universität München (TUM) School of Management. His main areas of expertise include start-up financing, venture capital, and private equity. He is an active seed investor and gained further practical experience with Allianz Investment Management as an executive assistant to the Chief Investment Officer of the Allianz Group.

Oliver Alexy

Oliver Alexy |Professor for Strategic Entrepreneurship

Oliver Alexy joined the TUM School of Management in July 2012 as Professor of Strategic Entrepreneurship after holding several roles in the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Group at Imperial College Business School in London, England. In his work, Oliver studies how to design organizations that effectively deal with extremely high uncertainty, such as high-tech start-ups, R&D units, online communities, and social enterprises.

Professor Shulamit Levenberg is the former Dean of the Biomedical Engineering Department at the Technion. She serves as the director of the Technion Center for 3D Bioprinting. Levenberg conducts interdisciplinary research on stem cells, biomaterials and tissue engineering. She is co-founder of three start-up companies: Aleph Farms, Nanosynex and NurExone.

Helmut Schönenberger |Co-Founder and CEO of UnternehmerTUM and VP Entrepreneurship, Technical University of Munich (TUM)

Prof. Schoenenberger (born 1972) suggested in his diploma thesis to establish a center for entrepreneurs in Munich (which became finally UnternehmerTUM of which he is CEO) and since January 2020 he is vice president of TUM for entrepreneurship.

Claudia Doblinger is an assistant professor of Innovation and Technology Management at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), where she primarily works on clean energy innovation and entrepreneurship. Her main focus is on understanding how political incentives affect the innovation and entrepreneurial activities of firms, especially in the context of clean energy and transportation technologies. She has previously worked at the Harvard Kennedy School, the University of Regensburg (Germany), and a German energy company.

Robert Giezendanner-Thoben | Head of operations and corporate relations – Vice-Presidency for Innovation

He has a master degree in mechanical engineering from the EPFL and PhD from the Institute of Aerospace Thermodynamics of the University of Stuttgart. In 1999 he started as a scientific researcher in combustion laser diagnostics at the German Aerospace Centre. In 2005, he joined Robert Bosch Corporate Research GmbH. As a senior expert in fluid mechanics and agile product development, and intrapreneur he developed new products for different companies of the Bosch Group. Parallel to his activities at Robert Bosch, he gave lectures in fluid mechanics.

Nadir Izrael | Co-Founder and CTO, Armis Security
As co-founder and CTO, Nadir Izrael guides the technology vision behind Armis to protect the new connected or IoT devices in and around the workplace. He co-founded the company in 2015 with its CEO, Yevgeny Dibrov. Prior to Armis, worked at Google as senior software engineer. Before Google, Nadir spent six years in the Israeli army, specifically in unit 8200, where he designed and programmed software projects and systems, serving as team leader and attaining the rank of captain.

Itai Dabran

Adjunct senior lecturer and Chief Engineer of the Interdisciplinary Center for Smart Technologies, CS faculty – Technion. His research is focused on state of the art implementations of IoT and communication protocols. In addition, Itai serves as the Chairman of IEEE Communication Society (ComSoC) in Israel, and as a Board Member of the Israeli Society of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
